Biomass

Across Asia there are massive resources of under-utilized waste materials. Wood chips, rice husk, and palm oil shells are just a few examples of the types of material that can be burned, gassified, and combusted to produce heat and energy.

PEI has extensive experience in advising and structuring biomass projects in Southeast Asia. PEI's investors have led the first carbon credit registration for a 2MWe rice husk project in Cambodia and completed the investment feasibility study for a 10MWe rice husk combustion facility in southern Vietnam.
