PEI invests in clean energy projects and companies in Asia focusing on 100,000 EURO - 5 Million EURO equity injections in a variety of financial structures.

About PEI
Prime Energy Investments (“PEI”) is a privately held company that invests in Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency projects. In addition to providing capital, PEI can assist in project development and procurement.
Geographic Focus
The Asia Pacific region, particularly South East Asia
Priority Sectors
Biogas, biomass, clean fuels, energy efficiency, and other renewable energy technologies. PEI also participates in carbon finance transactions.
Investment Size
Up to € 5 million / project and or company
Investment Stage
Greenfield or brownfield/expansion capital opportunities
Ownership Requirements
Prefer a major ownership stake in the project company
Minority shareholding possible under certain conditions
Investment Terms & Structure
Determined on a per project basis. Eligible financing modes include straight equity, convertible debentures, mezzanine debt and trade-related financing.
Key Investment Criteria
PEI seeks investment opportunities that include the following attributes:
• Experienced management team
• Proven technology
• Investee entity has a good market position and prospects
• Well structured supply and sales contracts with financially capable counterparties
• Sound exit strategy

Information Requested From Project Sponsors/ Prospective Investee Companies
1. Copy of the Business Plan
2. If a business plan is not available, the following information is requested:
• Corporate Brochure
• Background of Company
• Business Activities (description of products and services)
• Corporate and Shareholding Structure
• Details of Management Team
• Historical Financial Performance of Project Sponsor for last three years
• Latest copy of Sponsor’s audited accounts
• Financial Projections for next three years (2 years minimum)
• Details of proposed Development or Expansion Plan
3. The above information will be reviewed by PED to determine if the opportunity meets the firm’s investment criteria.
4. As part of its screening process, PEI will undertake a Risk Assessment of all prospective investment opportunities, including attention to:
a) Market risk
b) Management risk
c) Technology risk
d) Execution risk
e) Financing risk
f) Regulatory risk
g) Environmental & Social Risk
